Here is the sermon I preached yesterday morning at River Oaks Church in Lake Mary, FL. The title of the sermon is "Life at the Crossroads" and the text is Matthew 5:1-16. There's a little bit of feedback through the whole thing, but it's not bad. Also, I know it is not characteristic to spout off a bibliography at the end of your sermon, and so I didn't, but I want to give due credit to some of my sources. At the end of my preparation, I had the follow sources laying across my desk:• The Sermon on the Mount: The Character of a Disciple, by David Doriani
• The Coming of the Kingdom, by Herman Ridderbos
• Reformed Dogmatics, vols. 2, 3, and 4, by Herman Bavinck
• Church Bootcamp audio lectures, by Michael Goheen
• Transforming Mission, by David Bosch
• God's Big Picture, by Vaughan Roberts
• The Sermon on the Mount, by Jakob van Bruggen
• The Reason for God, by Tim Keller
I also had a number of scattered articles pulled up online. There are probably more sources that I am not giving credit to, but sometimes you just have things in your head and you can't remember where they came from. Anyway, for what it's worth, enjoy. I scribbled the word "slow" in big words on my first page, but I think I should have put it on every page. Still, my prayer is that it was God speaking, and not me.
